Wood slice

I recently bought
a bunch of little 3" wood slices
from a craft supply store & plan to paint
some birdies on them
& sell them at my Etsy shop.
This is the first one I made :)

Ex houses

I finally uploaded some pictures

We've built these houses from scratch,
lived in them for a while and then sold them.

Güatero

I made my beloved hot water bottle
(or güatero as they call it in Chile) a quilted cozy.
I made the patchwork with some cotton scraps
and machine quilted it with some wool felt as backing.
I used one of my birdie hand carved stamps to stamp a piece of fabric
to give it a more personal touch.
Perfect for these winter chilly nights :)

Enneapus

My original intentions were to make an octopus...
but I made this guy with an extra tentacle by mistake (that my boys were happy to point out, heehee) so
enneapus it is :)

Please go and check out the new paintings
that the amazingly talented Diana Sudyka
has just made available on her Etsy shop.
You'll fall in love with her work just like I have.
You can also visit her Tiny Aviary blog as I do every day
to see her fabulous works of art.

Brick by brick in 2008

These are Manolo's drawings
of what will become our new house in 2008.
God willing construction will begin later this month.
This top drawing is what will be seen from the street,
and the bottom one is the view from the backyard.
I will be fun to blog about the whole process
of building from the ground up.
Manolo (my talented hubby)designed our house
and will be the contractor too.
Our lot is within walking distance from our lil rented cabin.
